Stellenbosch FC is thrilled to announce the signing of veteran striker Bradley Grobler on a free transfer. The 38-year-old forward brings significant experience and a wealth of goalscoring prowess to the team, having previously played for Sekhukhune United and SuperSport United. Most notably, he won the PSL Golden Boot award in the 2020-21 season with SuperSport United, cementing his status as one of South Africa’s most prolific strikers.
Grobler's career highlights include a total of 129 goals in the Premier Soccer League (PSL), placing him within striking distance of breaking Peter Shalulile's all-time PSL record of 134. His recent move to Tanzania champions Young Africans has not diminished his ambitions, as he continues to seek opportunities to enhance his legacy.
The reunion with former coach Gavin Hunt at Stellenbosch FC is particularly significant for Grobler. The two previously worked together at Sekhukhune United a couple of seasons ago before the club's status changed and it was renamed Siwelele FC. With new coach Cedric Kaze at the helm, Grobler hopes to contribute meaningfully to the team’s success in the upcoming campaign.
